Laser engraving technology is becoming more and more mature in China, but sometimes there will be some failures in the actual use of the machine. Here is some steps for machine maintenance.

01 Bearing

The laser cutting machine uses a large number of bearings. In order to ensure good cutting and engraving effects, some bearings need to be regularly oiled (except for oil bearing). Wipe off the floating soil on the bearing with a clean soft cloth, use a needle tube to suck the oil into the needle tube, and then use a needle to slowly inject the bearing, and slowly rotate the bearing during oil injection.

02 Laser tube

The laser tube in the laser engraving machine is cooled by circulating water. After long-term use, there will be some white scale in the tube. We can add a small amount of vinegar in the circulating water to remove the ditch in the tube, and then use clean water to circularly wash the laser tube, so that the laser tube will be in the best working condition and its life will be extended. At the same time, the installation fulcrum of the laser tube should be reasonable. The fulcrum should be at 1/4 of the total length of the laser tube. Otherwise, the laser tube spot mode will deteriorate. Some light spots will become several points after working for a period of time, which will cause the laser power drop to fail to meet the requirements, resulting in continuous tube replacement.

03 Guide rail

After using the laser engraving machine for a period of time, the smoke and dust generated during engraving and cutting have a corrosive effect on the guide rail, so the guide rail should be maintained regularly. Turn off the power supply of the laser engraving machine, clean the guide rail with a clean soft cloth, and then drop lubricating oil on the guide rail. After that, let the slider roll back and forth on the guide rail to ensure that the lubricating oil enters the slider. Pay attention not to fix the guide rail first, but install all the fixing nails, then fix the belt and slider, and then install the lens.

04 Reflector, focusing mirror

After the laser engraving machine and laser cutting machine are used for a period of time, the smoke and dust will adhere to the surface of the lens, affecting the engraving and cutting depth, as well as the engraving and cutting accuracy. Generally, three pieces of reflectors and one piece of focusing lens are carefully wiped and cleaned with anhydrous alcohol about a week (according to the use frequency of the laser engraving machine).

05 Water protection

The cooling water cannot always flush the water protection float switch or the water protection float switch does not reset, and the short circuit method cannot be used to solve the problem. The cooling water quality shall be good. If the aluminum oxide of the nozzle is too serious, the dirt in the water pump, water pipe and water protection shall be cleaned regularly after a period of use, otherwise the laser pipe will burst or the cold head will fall off.
